Our Tempo Disc™ Bluetooth® Low Energy Push Button Sensor and Data Logger is designed to record and log button push events. Each push of its brightly coloured button is logged and timestamped and this log can be accessed by iOS and Android smartphones and internet gateways. The most common applications for the push button are:
- Time and motion analysis
- Recording when tasks have been carried out for record keeping purposes
- To alert when restocking of supplies is required
- To alert when maintenance of machinery or equipment is required
- Act as a “man down” alert wearable that can be worn on the wrist or on a lanyard around the neck that can be programmed to trigger an alarm or assistance for at risk employees when they push the button
- Act as an alert button for assisted living patients that can generate alerts for assistance when they need it
The data structure of the Push Button Sensor and Data Logger is open allowing the easy integration into third party apps and internet based solutions.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT KITS
We provide Software Development Kits by way of iOS and Android source code can be found in Blue Maestro’s Github to assist in the development of custom iOS or Android applications. The iOS and Android source code are examples based on Blue Maestro’s own apps available on the App Store and Google Play. They enable you to develop your own applications to scan for Bluetooth® Low Energy “advertisement” packets from our sensors and data loggers parsing them for their telemetric data, the extraction of logged information by forming a temporary connection with the sensors and the implementation of Blue Maestro’s innovative UART command line interface providing unparalleled flexibility in changing the settings of our Bluetooth® Low Energy sensors and data loggers from any iOS or Android smartphone.

Q. How many smartphones can communicate with a Tempo Disc™ at the same time?
A. Technically there is no limit to the number of smartphones that read data from a Tempo Disc™at the same time. This is a key benefit of Tempo Disc™ since many smartphones can read data from it without having to form a connection to it. The saves time, makes Tempo Disc™ good for use cases where there are many users and preserves battery life. When it comes to extracting the log, only one smartphone can do it at a time. However it is very quick, approximately 1000 records every few seconds.
Q. How many Tempo Disc™ can I read from one smartphone?
A. It is technically unlimited. When it comes to downloading the logged data, only one smartphone can do it at a time, but it is quick.

A. 4,000 button pushes

A. The log remains in the Tempo Disc™, but is now available to analyse on your smartphone
Q. What is the battery life?
A. Depending on a number of factors, it is approximately 1 year. The battery life can be extended by changing the configuration to advertise less quickly. The battery is a CR2032 coin cell and is easily changed. You will see the battery level in the apps.
Q. What is the range?
A. The range is about 75 meters/ 225 feet line of sight. It is reduced where there are obstructions and it depends on the type of material of the obstruction.
