Blue Maestro was honoured to win the Peer to Peer Award at Innovate2016 held earlier this week in Manchester.

Innovate2016 is the UK’s leading showcase for innovation and is organised jointly by the UK’s Department for International Trade and Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation funding body.  Showcasing at Innovate2016 is by invitation only and only the top 100 innovative companies in the UK were invited.  So to begin with it was a huge privilege to be showcasing at the event.

Blue Maestro was invited because of its innovations in the use of Bluetooth Low Energy technology with small form sensors and data loggers, in particular the world’s first connected pacifier, Pacif-i™.  This uses Bluetooth Low Energy and a temperature sensor inside the teat to take a baby’s temperature and then relays it to a parent’s smartphone, up to 75 meters away.  A great way to monitor a baby’s temperature without disturbing them.   We also showcased our range of Bluetooth Low Energy sensors and loggers, Tempo Disc, in particular the latest versions we are in the process of releasing.

And then to cap it off, we were informed on the last day of the show that we were a finalised for the Peer to Peer Award. The winner of this Award is chosen by over 3,500 delegates attending the show who were asked to vote for the showcase as “if they were an investor looking at an investment proposition”.  And then, we won!
